I’ve been touring SE Asia for the past few weeks and I’d like little tattos as reminders of each country. I saw what looked like a phoenix in flight in the clouds in Penang, a sight that overwhelmed me while I was still feeling shaky with wonder at the fact that I was here after months of planning. Enjoyed the rain in a geopark in Langkawi. Loved the scenery on the winding rock hewn roads of the Ha Giang Loop, the iconic view points with their little hammocks. On a hike in Sapa, I saw some geese playing in water on a mountain peak where people jumped off to parasail. I woke up at 5AM in Chiang Mai to see the sunrise in a temple and my spirit was lightened by the chimes from the little bells people hang in the temple. I bought one for myself. In Vang Vieng Laos, I was on an air ballon and saw the prettiest sights from up above. I made friends when I joined a tour in Vang Vieng, screamed out my lungs while jumping into the blue lagoons (thank you last year me for learning how to swim). In Indonesia, I saw the most beautiful sunrise in Borobodur Temple and enjoyed listening to the story of the Ramayana from my guide on a tour of the Pramabanan Temple. In Singapore, I met this young traveller from Indonesia who has reinvigorated my business spirit. In all the countries, I have enjoyed a shocking amount of gelato.
